CLASSIC
REVIVAL

The Historic Rand Mansion is an elaborate example of the Georgian Revival style and is recognizable by six prominent Corinthian columns across the front structural facade facing a popular boulevard. It remains as some of the finest residential work produced by Theodore Link, a recognized and celebrated architect in St. Louis at the turn of the century.

Georgian Revival detailing continues on the interior in the staircases, moulding detail throughout and multiple fireplaces. The dining room to the right of the entry is divided by two distinct seating areas divided by two floor to ceiling columns. The living room, located left of the entry area, can graciously accommodate multiple seating areas and capable of hosting magnificent gatherings.

This home is quite special as this level of detail is rarely produced any longer due to prohibitive costs or just that the art and craftsman knowledge is lost. This home harkens to a past era when hosting events and large gatherings were the norm for prominent families during America's Gilded Age. Part of the appeal for the homeowner who purchased this particular home which sat empty for quite some time is just that – to entertain the masses with unforgettable parties and events in an environment that showcases the best of human ingenuity and timeless elegance.

I'll toast to that!
